OUR VISION
The vision of Faith Temple Baptist Church is to reach as many people as possible with the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ and disciple them to witness to others in His Name. We aim to teach and do the work of the Lord while caring for one another and impacting the world around us by making an eternal difference in this generation and generations to come (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).

OUR BELIEFS

THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired Word of God, without error, and is the sole authority for faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

GOD
We believe there is one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; all three are equal in divine attributes (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

JESUS
We believe Jesus Christ is God’s Son. He was born of a virgin as both God and man, lived a sinless life, died to atone for the sins of humanity, was buried, rose from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will return to Earth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-23; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit. He is the divine helper, counselor, and instructor. His work is to reveal Christ, convict of sin, lead to repentance, guide believers, comfort, strengthen, and sanctify the soul (John 14:16-17, 26; John 16:7-14; Romans 8:26-27).

CREATED MAN’S NEED FOR GOD
Human beings are special creations of God, made in His image. They fell through the sin of the first man, Adam, and all human beings are sinners in need of salvation (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12).

RAPTURE AND SECOND COMING
We believe in the imminent Rapture and the premillennial return of Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:1-6).

JUDGMENT
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all believers and the judgment of believers for their works at the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10).
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all unbelievers at the Great White Throne Judgment, where they will be thrown into the Lake of Fire, a literal place of eternal punishment (Revelation 20:11-15).

CREATION
We believe in creation, not evolution; that mankind was created by the direct act of God and in the image of God (Genesis 1:1; Genesis 1:26-27).

THE CHURCH
We believe in the local church as an independent, autonomous body of baptized believers, commissioned to evangelize the lost, and commanded in the Word to disciple, instruct, and train believers (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42).
We believe the local church is separate from all ecclesiastical authorities and must remain set apart from apostasy (2 Corinthians 6:14-18).

SALVATION
Salvation is a gift through repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ. Every person saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ and will spend eternity in heaven, while those who die in their sins will spend eternity in hell (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 10:28-29; Revelation 20:15).

BAPTISM
Baptism is by immersion after salvation and in obedience to Jesus Christ’s command (Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:36-38).

BELIEVER’S ACCESS TO GOD
Each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 4:14-16; 1 Timothy 2:5)
